A Fresh Start

If you have been following me you probably know I have been absent on social media for the past two years. If you're new here, welcome friends!

A little about me. I have spent my life in Seattle, WA. Thankfully I have had the opportunity to travel the globe.  I have a wonderful 17 month old daughter, a wonderful and supportive husband and our mastiff baby. 

I’m pleased to announce I’m moving forward as a part-time artist, business woman, mom, wife and all of the above. Art has been on the back burner for the past two years. I have alway struggled with depression and putting art aside hasn’t helped. Making art a priority has helped with my struggles.

In the beginning I started out with watercolor and colored pencil. My style still consists of watercolor and colored pencil but has expanded to using marker, heavy body acrylics, encaustics, chalk and other mediums. I feel as an artist exploring is the best thing you can do! If you’re not exploring mediums and getting your hands messy your heart can’t grow. Does anyone else feel this way? I wasn’t really sure where I was going, but recently I have been working in mediums that have filled the hole I was desperately seeking to fill. 

In the beginning of my journey, I wasn’t completely comfortable with the style. Even with the uncertainty, I signed up for my first event! Sadly, COVID hit and it was canceled. Shortly after I got pregnant with our daughter. Speeding up two years later here we are! With the break from posting and doing a lot with the business side. I was still working on growth in my art abilities. I'm so happy and proud to announce my very first pop up show is coming up June 10th! I'm incredibly excited and so ready for this next step. 

Honestly, a huge mix of emotions. I can’t wait to be around other artists and feel the wonderful vibes.  

I have been learning so much due to this being my first event. I recently purchased a 10x10 canopy, table, clothes, ect. I can’t wait to share my journey. This is the beginning of this beautiful chapter.
